Erica Motley was formerly the Head of International Acquisitions at United International Pictures under CEO Stewart Till. While there, she was an integral part of the UIP worldwide sales team where she was involved in buying local films and tracking local talent. In this role, Erica evaluated scripts, identified potential acquisitions, and provided financial projections for each country manager. She attended local and international film markets as well as managed relationships with sales agent and producers. Erica also provided creative and financial evaluations for Universal and Paramount’s acquisition departments.

Prior to UIP, Erica was the Head of Film for Shine International where she was responsible for selecting the slate and managing the development, financing and production of UK-based films. For this start-up venture, Erica wrote the business plan, raised funding from venture capitalist 3I and secured development deals with the UK film council and with international sales agent.

After two years on Wall Street and a Harvard MBA, Erica began her film career as an international acquisition executive at HBO. She later joined Fox where she launched channels and negotiated deals with film studios, international sales agents and independent producers. As VP of Programming at BMG, Erica structured studio output deals, managed original productions and developed programming strategies for German Pay-TV. She later acquired content from emerging broadband companies at IFILM.
